Destination Wedding: Lake Eden, Fletcher, NC
They say that opportunities come in all shapes and sizes. They also say that a rhinoceros can't walk backwards, but that's neither here nor there! For me, an opportunity came in the form of a beautiful lake surrounded by lush green mountains. It's natures perfect wedding venue. It's natures perfect place. I was in Lake Eden, North Carolina, about to shoot with Aaron of Aaron Imaging for the very first time.
Her dress was elegant, yet alluring like something out of a wedding magazine, the ones brides drool on and dream over. The shoes...Toms! If you've been following me on my photographic journey you know I love shoes and the reason behind that is I love when my brides dress, shoes, and small details are an extension of her personality. It really helps me as the photographer to envision and capture the story of her day.
The weather was a cool 65 degrees with clear skies (just a few of those puffy white clouds that turn into dinosaurs and bunny rabbits). The simplicity of the wedding only added to the surrounding beauty while these two trialthletes scorecased their love for the outdoors and each other! Everything from the stone walkways to the bright red barn where the reception was held was absolutely gorgeous.
I hope these photos take you to the mountains by the lake. Enjoy!
One more shot of these awesome tom's... I LOVE shoes, and yes I know, it is a problem!
The couple chose to do a first look, which I am a huge fan of!
After the first look we headed back to get ready for the ceremony!
Yes he's adorable, and I want one!
The reception was held at the Barns at Lake Eden, perfect location for a wonderful reception!
Her dance with dad, made me smile behind my camera watching him move! The smile on his face translate's to, I still got it baby, I still got it!
I ended the night with a few toast from the bride and grooms friends and family
Special thank you to Aaron of Aaron Imaging. His talent, knowledge and experience combined with his warm personality make him both an amazing photographer and person. For all of these things, Aaron, the mountains, the lake, the opportunity, I am overwhelmingly grateful!
