By nature, I'm shy. I know what you're thinking. WHAT?!?! If you've ever met me, stop shaking your head, it's true. A couple months ago I was having a conversation with a good friend/colleague, and she started convincing me that I needed to put myself out there more, reach out to people, what's the worst thing that could happen right? They find out how big of a dork I am really am and that I have conversations with myself, out loud? Also true.
My first thought was to reach out to Brooke from absoluteLove Photography. I had met her 2 years ago when she photographed my best friend Annie's wedding. And let's be honest, I've been creepily stalking her blog ever since. If I'm ever in need of a good drool session, I just pull up her blog and check out her Absolutely beautiful photographs (pun intended, I did mention the dork part right?)! I sent her a message and honestly, I didn't really think I would hear anything back from it. So a couple weeks later when she contacted me and asked me if I could come to Orlando and photograph a wedding with her, I almost peed myself with excitement (ok, just a little, wait, did I just say that on my blog!) I'm pretty sure that my downstairs neighbor thought that the ceiling was caving in!
I was more than estactic to travel to Orlando and shoot under her (and sneak in a trip to the Wonderful Wizarding World of Harry Potter, nerd much?) This was the kind of wedding that every photographer wants to photograph. The beautiful catholic ceremony, the amazingly gorgeous reception at the Peabody Hotel, and a bride and groom, that belonged in magazines!
Brooke and I shot and shot..... aannnnnnnndddddd... shot these shoes and I loved it! There were so many patterns and textures! It was all so beautiful that I couldn't just share one photo!! The florist, Fiora Design Studio, was absolutely amazing! This was the first time that the bride was seeing her bouquet and I loved how he presented to her, Brooke working her magic! Absolutely Love the way this girl shoots! She's all kinds of amazing and talented, not to mention just great to be around! Yeah Brooke, I'm talking about you! :) She's got the moves..... It's that feeling you get when see one of your closest friends in her wedding dress, and if you've ever been a bridesmaid, you know what I'm talking about. Pure bliss! A touch up and a toast! We rode in style, a stretch hummer, to the church. They came prepared with champaigne for a heart felt toast! The ceremony was at a beautiful catholic church. The love and excitement just flowed off of this couple! From the moment she saw him until they walked down the isle as husband and wife, they were all smiles!! A fully restored Packard, which belonged to the brides father, made the perfect get away car! Showing off their new bling and their love! After the ceremony, we headed back to the Peabody Hotel for cocktail hour and a reception that was out of this world! Brooke and the awesomely talented Jeffrey Stoner (videography) getting pumped for the reception! This guy had me cracking up all night long! The bride and groom wanted to get a sneak peak of the reception hall before anyone else saw it! I love her reaction! Introductions and first dances, toasts that brought laughs and toasts that brought tears, this bride and groom started their reception off with a bang! Let's dance! Let me see you wobble! Even the wedding coordinators, Pave Weddings by Nicole, got in on this one! Fun in the photo booth! These little boys were tearing it up, Gangnam Style! An EPIC last dance! The groomsmen told me that it was trandition that when one of them get married, by the end of the reception they tie their bowties around their heads, Rambo Style! From the bottom of my heart I want thank you so much for your support, please show a little love in my comment box :)
