Liz+Victor=Happiness!

Lynn's shooting a baby right now (okay, that sounds weird, but you know what I'm talking about) so it's my turn to write the blog. Yeah! My first post since March. I'll keep it short & sweet.

Victor & Liz are a great couple. I mean look at them. She's hot & he's handsome. Makes our job easy.
Here's one of Lynn's shots. It's of her favourite subject: shoes.
Here's another one of Lynn's shots. Her second favourite subject: clothes.
Back to Elizabeth. This shot's mine & I like it a lot. Like that photographer dude in the Centrum commercial says "I work with the science of shadow and light." LOL.
Gorgeous smile.

Some favourites from the church.
I love these fun bridal shots Lynn got. Watch out America's Next Top Model - the doctors are in the house!
Fall fun.

The reception was at Terminal City Club and the room was all decked out by Art of the Party.

We snuck out during the reception to hang out in the middle of the street with Liz+ Victor. As the cars sped by, Victor said to us, "Could we do some normal shots now?" Normal? Nah!!!!!!

Congratulations Liz+Victor & thanks for dodging traffic with us on your wedding night!

Monica+Ketan=Euphoria

Add two dresses, two ceremonies, and two people totally in love and you get Monica+Ketan's fantastically fun wedding day! There was so much laughter and energy at this New York wedding, and lots and lots of amazing dancing! Here are some of our favourites...

The couple preparing for the first traditional Indian ceremony.
Let the dancing begin! Ketan gets ready to greet Monica's parents outside the country club.Lots of colourful details...Monica was glowing with happiness!
Ketan waits pateintly to see his bride. And is thrilled to see her.

He is just as happy to see her during the second traditional Catholic ceremony!
Hooray- married!

Monica & the gals.Ketan and the boys.Talk about making an entrance - everyone was working it as they entered the reception ballroom.

The very first (of many) dance between husband and wife. Then the party really got started. We got right in there on the jam-packed dance floor - too much fun!Late into the evening, we snuck outside by the waterfall for some romantic night-time portraits.

Congrats Monica+Ketan!

I forgot my camera

I know! I can't believe it either. My camera is always in my bag. Last night, I attended a wonderful event that theknot.com hosted and I didn't get a single photo. I did walk away with a new friend; a fellow wedding planner who rocks (Hi Shannon!), a great coffee mug (which I am using this very moment), and some inspiration (very cool draping at this event).

Alright, I need to go finish up the timeline for Krista's wedding next week, and confirm with the caterer, and give a heads up to the venue coordinator, and order the flowers, and send out a contract, and schedule 3 appointments, and ...it's going to be a busy day!

Ciao for now!

The Hot Trends...

This was one serious cake fight! By the time they were done, half the wedding party was covered. Just hilarious.

So as you can imagine, I get to see what so many brides are planning for their weddings. I do keep in touch with many wedding and event planners across the country so that I can keep current on what neat things are going on around the rest of the U.S. These are things you'll see in the late winter and spring weddings.

The 3-part wedding reception: 1.Cocktail Hour 2.Dinner & Dancing 3.The afterparty

Two wedding dresses: One for the ceremony & one for the reception

Coffee bars, complete with an array of flavored coffee syrups, chocolate dipped spoons, and flavored sugar cubes

Strapless dresses are still on top

A band and a DJ

Luxury or custom Linens

Big wedding cakes; The bigger, the better

Low long centerpieces on long tables

Candy buffets are still huge

The new drink- Kir Royal

Late evening ceremonies followed by cocktail and dessert receptions

Out of the ordinary rentals such as popcorn carts, photo booths, and cotton candy machines

Teal+Cory=TrueLove

As soon as we met Teal and Cory, we knew their wedding was going to be amazing. You know the kind of couple that is just so in love that it makes you smile just to be in the same room as them? Well, that was Teal and Cory; as they sat on our studio couch, they just radiated love and happiness!

The day started with the Teal getting ready at the funky Beehive Hair Lounge. with all her best gals.Meanwhile, Cory and the guys were suiting up.Cory had a blue Birks box for each of them...Engraved flasks and Cuban cigars - nice.Teal had some blue bags of her own for her bridesmaids - nothing brings happy-tears like Tiffany's!Cory waiting to give Teal her bouquet at their First Look.
They were so thrilled to see each other for the first time!
The girls strut their stuff.
The guys GQ it up.
Teal and her father have such a special relationship. I just love these two images right before he walked her down the aisle.

A ceremony filled with laughter.
Fall decor beautifully designed by Art of the Party enhanced the rich warmth of the Vancouver Club.
Teal and Cory made a grand entrance into the Grand Ballroom.
The best bridesmaids' speech ever - truly from the heart!

A tender moment between father and daughter.Teal & Cory dance the night away...Congratulations! And thank you for having us there on your day - it was truly beautiful.
